Lanne-en-Barétous ( Occitan : Lana en Varetons ) is a French municipality with 494 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Oloron-Sainte-Marie and the Canton of Oloron-Sainte-Marie-1 (until 2015: Canton Aramits ). The inhabitants are called Lannais .

geography

Lanne-en-Barétous is about 37 kilometers southwest of Pau and about 15 kilometers north of the Spanish border. Lanne-en-Barétous is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Aramits in the north and northeast, Arette in the east, Sainte-Engrâce in the south, Haux in the southwest, Montory in the west and Barcus in the northwest.
