Ossenx ( Occitan : Aussencs ) is a French commune with a population of 52 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Oloron-Sainte-Marie and is part of the canton of Orthez et Terres des Gaves et du Sel (until 2015: Canton Sauveterre-de-Béarn ).

geography

Ossenx is about 37 kilometers west-northwest of Pau at the foot of the Pyrenees . The Gave d'Oloron limits the municipality to the south. Ossenx is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Castetbon in the north, Audaux in the east, Araujuzon in the south and Narp in the west and northwest.
