  • Castle of Béon. A duel in the 9th century between the feudal lord of Béon and a Norman leader is recorded. Around 1596, the feudal lord of Aste-Béon, M. de Talazac, was accepted into the chambers of the Béarn. This was the reason for him to rebuild the 14th century castle by preserving the medieval walls. The estate changed hands several times in the following: Pierre de Saint-Gaudens, Jean de Fortanier in 1689 and Henry de Poey in 1752. The three-storey building on a rectangular floor plan has a slate- covered tent roof and watch towers at all four corners. The unadorned entrance portal and the window openings date from the 17th century.
  • Church Saint-Félix-et-Saint-Adauct dedicated Felix and Adauctus in the district Béon. The original hermitage , in honor of Julianus von Brioude , has been mentioned in the scriptures since the 16th century.
  • Church Saint-Jean-Baptiste , dedicated to John the Baptist in the district branches, at the end of the 19th century completely rebuilt.

Agriculture and ranching traditionally play a large role in the municipality's economy. It is located in the AOC zone of Ossau-Iraty , a traditionally made semi-hard cheese made from sheep's milk. However, given the geographic location, “green” tourism is also gaining ground.
