Goes ( listen ^{? / I} ) is a Dutch city ​​and municipality in the province of Zeeland and, according to the CBS, had 37,739 inhabitants on January 31, 2019 . Transport and economy

The Goes train station

Goes is located on the car and railways between Vlissingen and Roosendaal . The city is the economic center of the Zuid-Beveland peninsula . There is a factory for french fries , a glue factory and numerous trading companies. Agriculture and tourism are also important. The Goes TV tower is also located there .

Downtown Goes is rich in quaint old houses from the 17th and 18th centuries. The Gothic Maria Magdalenen Church and the town hall are also worth seeing.

In 2005 the new HMDB (Historical Museum De Bevelanden) opened in the city. The exhibits include silver works, costumes, paintings, archaeological finds and old books.
