Paul Raymond, archivist and historian of the 19th century, noted the mentions of the settlements Ance and Féas under the name Ansse and Feaas in 1385 on the occasion of a census. 23 households at Ance and 21 households at Féas were counted and it was noted that the settlements are in the Bailliage of Oloron . At that time, Féas was a pilgrimage site with a Sainte-Vigne chapel , the location of which is now unknown. During the Middle Ages, Féas kept a mound castle and a castle on a higher rock. Féas has had a school since the 15th century.

As a result of the Edict of Nantes , Féas was one of the first eight parishes in Béarn to reintroduce the Catholic religion. The French King Henry IV , who signed the edict in 1598, had been King of Navarre since 1572 and was himself the leader of the Huguenots in the Huguenot Wars , which ended with the edict.
