Ogeu-les-Bains ( Occitan : Augeu ) is a French municipality with 1289 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Oloron-Sainte-Marie and the Canton of Oloron-Sainte-Marie-2 (until 2015: Canton of Oloron-Sainte-Marie-Est ). The inhabitants are called Ogeulois .
geography
Ogeu-les-Bains is about 18 kilometers south-southwest of Pau . The Gave d'Ossau borders the community in the south. Ogeu-les-Bains is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lasseube in the north, Lasseubetat in the northeast, Buziet in the east, Oloron-Sainte-Marie in the south and west, Herrère in the west and Escou in the north-west.
The Pau – Canfranc railway runs through the municipality.
