The canton Anglet-Nord was by 2015 a French constituency in Arrondissement of Bayonne in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Aquitaine . Claude Olive has been a representative in the General Council of the Department since 2011.
history
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the départements as part of what was then the "District of Ustaritz".
With the founding of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800 , the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the Bayonne arrondissement.

geography
The canton is bordered to the north by the canton of Saint-Martin-de-Seignanx in the Dax arrondissement in the Landes department , to the east by the cantons of Bayonne-Nord and Bayonne-Ouest , to the south by the canton of Anglet-Sud and to the west by the canton of Biarritz -Est as well as to the Atlantic ( Bay of Biscay ).
Communities
The canton includes part of the municipality of Anglet (15,811 inhabitants). Anglet was divided into two cantons, this was the less populous part of the city.
