The canton of Castelnau-Rivière-Basse was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement Tarbes , in the Hautes-Pyrenees and the region Midi-Pyrenees ; its main town was Castelnau-Rivière-Basse . His representative in the General Council of the Département was Francis Dutour from 2001 to 2015, last re-elected in 2008.
geography
The canton was in the north of the department. In the west it bordered the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department , in the north and east on the Gers department and in the east and south on the canton of Maubourguet . Its area was between 118 m in Saint-Lanne and 281 m in Lascazères above sea level .
