Villefranque ( Occitan : Vilafranca ) is a French commune with 79 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Tarbes and the canton of Val d'Adour-Rustan-Madiranais (until 2015: canton of Castelnau-Rivière-Basse ). The inhabitants are called Villefranquais .

Villefranque is located around 35 kilometers northeast of the city of Pau in the Aquitaine region . Villefranque is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Caussade-Rivière in the north and northeast, Estirac in the east, Sombrun in the south and Lascazères in the west.
