Momères ( Occitan Momèras ) is a French municipality with 759 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Hautes-Pyrénées in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Tarbes , to the canton of Moyen-Adour (until 2015 canton of Laloubère ). The residents call themselves Momèriens .
geography
Momères is located about six kilometers south of Tarbes in the historic province of Bigorre on the upper reaches of the Adour River in the foothills of the Pyrenees . Momères is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Horgues in the north, Salles-Adour in the east and north-east, Bernac-Debat in the east and south-east, Saint-Martin in the south and west and Odos in the west and north-west.
