Saint-Martin ( Occitan : Sent Martin ) is a French municipality with 452 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Hautes-Pyrénées in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Tarbes and the canton of Moyen-Adour (until 2015 canton of Laloubère ). The residents call themselves Saint-Martinois .
geography
Saint-Martin is located about seven kilometers south of Tarbes in the historic province of Bigorre on the upper reaches of the Adour River in the foothills of the Pyrenees . Saint-Martin is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Odos and Momères in the north, Bernac-Debat in the east and northeast, Arcizac-Adour in the south and east, Visker in the south and southwest, Bénac in the west, Hibarette in the west and northwest, and Louey in the northwest.
