Gaussan is located around 32 kilometers northeast of the city of Tarbes am Gers in the east of the Hautes-Pyrénées department. Gaussan is surrounded by the neighboring communities Laran in the north, Monléon-Magnoac in the east and northeast, Lassales and Monlong in the south and Recurt in the west.
