Vielle-Adour ( Occitan viela Ador ) is a French municipality with 509 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Hautes-Pyrénées in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Midi-Pyrenees ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Tarbes , to the canton of Moyen-Adour (until 2015 canton of Séméac ). The residents call themselves Viellois .
geography
Viel-Adour is located about ten kilometers south-southeast of Tarbes in the historic province of Bigorre on the upper reaches of the Adour River in the foothills of the Pyrenees . It is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bernac-Dessus in the north, Hitte in the north-east, Orignac in the east and south-east, Montgaillard in the south, Hiis in the west and south-west and Arcizac-Adour in the west and north-west.
