Lalanne-Trie is a French commune with 115 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Occitanie region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Tarbes and the canton of Les Coteaux (until 2015: canton of Trie-sur-Baïse ).

The inhabitants are called Labatriens and Labatriennes .

Lalanne-Trie is about 22 kilometers east-northeast of Tarbes on the northern edge of the department.

Population development

After records began, the population rose to a peak of 250 by the first half of the 19th century. In the period that followed, the size of the community decreased to 105 inhabitants with brief recovery periods by the 1960s before a period of slight growth began, the has stagnated again since the second decade of the 21st century.
