Ricaud is a French commune with 66 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Occitanie region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Tarbes and the canton of La Vallée de l'Arros et des Baïses (until 2015: canton of Tournay ).

The inhabitants are called Ricaudais and Ricaudaises .

Ricaud is located about 18 kilometers southeast of Tarbes in the historic vice-county of Nébouzan .

Population development

After records began, the population rose to a high of around 340 by the middle of the 19th century. In the period that followed, the size of the community sank to around 55 inhabitants by the turn of the millennium, with intermittent recovery phases, before reaching a level of around 65 inhabitants stabilized.
