Castelnau-Magnoac ( Occitan : Castèthnau de Manhoac ) is a French commune with 798 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Occitania region ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Tarbes . The inhabitants are called Magnoacais .
geography
Castelnau-Magnoac is located around 35 kilometers northeast of the city of Tarbes in the east of the Hautes-Pyrénées department on the border with the Gers department. Castelnau-Magnoac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Peyret-Saint-André in the north, Chélan (in the Gers department) in the north and northeast, Sariac-Magnoac in the northeast, Aries-Espénan in the east and southeast, Cizos in the south, Organ in the southwest, Barthe in the west and south-west and Laroque in the west and north-west.
