Lascazères ( Occitan : Lascasèras ) is a French commune with 311 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Occitanie region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Tarbes and the canton of Val d'Adour-Rustan-Madiranais (until 2015: canton of Castelnau-Rivière-Basse ). The inhabitants are called Lascazériens .
geography
Lascazères is located around 35 kilometers northeast of the city of Pau on the border with the neighboring Pyrénées-Atlantiques department in the Aquitaine region . Lascazères is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Hagedet in the north, Caussade-Rivière in the northeast, Villefranque in the east, Sombrun in the southeast, Moncaup in the south and southwest, Monpezat in the west and Bétracq in the northwest.
The municipality is part of the Béarn wine region . Wines from the Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh appellation are produced here.
