Hagedet ( Occitan : Hagedèth ) is a French commune with 46 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Occitanie region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Tarbes and the canton of Val d'Adour-Rustan-Madiranais (until 2015: canton of Castelnau-Rivière-Basse ). The inhabitants are called Hagedetais .
geography
Hagedet is located around 35 kilometers northeast of the city of Pau on the border with the neighboring Pyrénées-Atlantiques department in the Aquitaine region . Hagedet is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Soublecause in the north, Caussade-Rivière in the east, Lascazères in the south and Bétracq in the west.
The municipality is part of the Béarn wine region . Wines from the Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh appellation are produced here.
