Arcizac-Adour ( Occitan : Arcisac d'Ador ) is a French commune with 534 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Occitania region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Tarbes and the canton of Moyen-Adour (until 2015 canton of Laloubère ). The residents call themselves Arcizacois .
geography
Arcizac-Adour is located about eight kilometers south-southeast of Tarbes in the historic province of Bigorre on the upper reaches of the Adour River in the foothills of the Pyrenees . Arcizac-Adour is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Martin in the north and north-west, Bernac-Debat in the north and north-east, Bernac-Dessus in the east, vielle-Adour in the south-east, Hiis in the south and Visker in the west and south-west.
