Talazac is a French commune with 76 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Occitanie region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Tarbes and the canton of Vic-en-Bigorre .

The inhabitants are called Talazacais and Talazacaises .

Talazac is located about eleven kilometers north of Tarbes in its catchment area ( Aire urbaine ) in the historic province of Bigorre on the western border with the neighboring department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques .

Talazac is surrounded by the four neighboring communities:

Population development

After the records began, the population rose to a high of around 105 by the middle of the 19th century. In the following period, the size of the community fell to around 55 inhabitants during short recovery periods up to the 1920s, before settling down to around 60 to 75 inhabitants stabilized.
