The canton of Taverny is a French constituency ( canton ) in the Arrondissement Argenteuil , in the Département Val-d'Oise and in the region Île-de-France ; its main town is Taverny , and Jean-Pierre Barentin ( PS ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Department since 2008 .
