The canton of Pontoise is a French constituency ( canton ) in the Arrondissement Pontoise , in the Département Val-d'Oise and in the region of Île-de-France ; its main town is Pontoise , and Gerard Seimbille ( UMP ) has been a representative in the General Council of the department since 2001 .
