Karl Bauer (born July 20, 1900 in Karlsruhe , † October 31, 1982 in Augsburg-Göggingen ) was a German director and general manager .

Life

Family and education

Karl Bauer, who was born in Karlsruhe and graduated from the reform grammar school there, then turned to studying philosophy , literature , theater and art history at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg and the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich , and in 1923 he received his doctorate in Munich to the Dr. phil. In addition, he received acting lessons from Otto König in Munich from 1920 to 1923 .

Karl Bauer married Guschi, born Laufmöller, in 1929. He died in 1982 at the age of 82 in the Göggingen district of Augsburg.

Professional background

After Karl Bauer had worked as a publisher and critic in Munich in 1923, the following year he got his first job as an actor , dramaturge and director at the Bavarian State Theater in Munich, where he made his debut as Tanio in The Taming of the Shrew .
