Kazuya Ōshima 2010

Kazuya Ōshima ( Japanese 大 嶋 和 也 , Ōshima Kazuya ; born April 30, 1987 in Fukuoka Prefecture ) is a Japanese automobile racing driver . He was Japanese Formula 3 champion in 2006 . From 2009 to 2011 he competed in Formula Nippon .

Career

Ōshima began his formula racing career in 2004 in the Japanese Formula Toyota . After he had won the runner-up title in his first season, he secured the championship title of this series a year later. In 2006 Ōshima moved to Toyota Team TOM’S and competed in the Japanese Formula 3 championship . After winning the runner-up title behind Adrian Sutil in his debut season , a year later he won the Japanese Formula 3 championship with six wins. He also won the championship title of the GT300 class of the Super GT , a Japanese GT - together with Hiroaki Ishiura . Series. At the prestigious Macau Grand Prix of 2007, he finished third on the podium.

In 2008 Ōshima left Japan and moved to Europe. For Manor Motorsport he started in the Formula 3 Euro Series . Although he won a race in contrast to his three teammates, he finished only 19th overall at the end of the season and was thus the worst-placed driver on his team. He also completed another race in the Super GT.

In 2009 Ōshima returned to Japan and competed for TOM'S in the Formula Nippon . With a second place as the best placement, he finished ninth in the overall ranking at the end of the season. He also started in the Super GT and finished ninth in the championship with one win. In 2010 , Ōshima stayed with TOM'S in Formula Nippon. In Sportsland SUGO , he won his first race. He finished the season in sixth overall. He also finished sixth in the Super GT. In 2011 , Ōshima moved to the LeMans team within Formula Nippon . With a second place as the best result, he finished the season in fifth place overall. He finished eleventh in the Super GT that year.
