Kiran Shah (born September 28, 1956 in Nairobi ) is a Kenyan film and theater actor and stuntman . With a height of 126 cm, he is in the Guinness Book of Records as the smallest stuntman in the world.

Life

Shah, a trained tailor , began first in the Electric Theater Group by England and Wales to tour before he began his career as a stuntman from the 1977th Born short and 126 cm (4 ft 1.7 in) tall on October 20, 2003, he was initially supposed to embody R2-D2 in Star Wars , but had to give way to Kenny Baker .

In all three parts of The Lord of the Rings ( 1 , 2 and 3 ) Shah was also the body double of Elijah Wood and Ian Holm , who played the hobbits Frodo and Bilbo Baggins . Due to his agility and skill, he could be used as a stuntman in many action sequences of the trilogy . In The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey he took on this role again for the actor who played Bilbo, Martin Freeman .
