The Klosterberg is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony town of Northeim in the Northeim district .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG BR 148 is about 12.5  hectares in size. It is largely identical to the same, 9.18 hectares of FFH area and is adjacent to several places to the conservation area "Edesheimer mountain". Parts of the landscape protection area have merged into the nature reserve. Within the nature reserve there is an approximately 5.8 hectare, specially protected biotope (GB-NOM 4225/39 "Lean lime grass, bushes in dry and warm locations and sinkholes on the Klosterberg"). The area has been under protection since January 9, 2016. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Northeim.

The nature reserve is located north of Northeim on the eponymous Klosterberg on the edge of the Edesheim forest . It provides an exposed to the southwest, moderately steep slope of a limestone ridge under protection, a well-trained and partly on the orchid-rich semi- dry grassland , sometimes with broom Gentiles portfolios and abandoned quarries are located. The quarries, which are heavily bushed with roses in places, are living space and a. the sand lizard . In addition, there are numerous other heat-loving plant and animal species. The semi-arid lawn is grazed extensively. De-pilling measures are also carried out to maintain and keep the lawn clear .

An unpaved dirt road runs through the nature reserve . The area mainly borders on arable land. To the north there are stagnant forests on Klosterberg and Wasenberg.
