Konstantinos "Kostas" Fortounis ( Greek Κωνσταντίνος "Κώστας" Φορτούνης , born October 16, 1992 in Kalampaka ) is a Greek football player who is currently under contract with the Greek record champions Olympiacos Piraeus .
Career
The beginnings
In his youth, the attacking midfielder played for Olympiacos and later moved to AO Trikala .
Asteras Tripoli
For the 2010/11 season Fortounis moved to the Greek Super League at Asteras Tripoli . He scored one goal in 24 games.
1. FC Kaiserslautern
For the 2011/12 season Fortounis moved to 1. FC Kaiserslautern , where he signed a four-year contract. On the first day of the match he made his debut for FCK against Werder Bremen ; he came on in the 63rd minute for Pierre De Wit . Two game days later he made his starting XI debut in an away game at 1. FC Köln .
Olympiacos Piraeus
After he had n't been able to earn a regular place in the 2013/14 season and only played as a substitute for 1. FC Kaiserslautern, he moved to Olympiacos Piraeus in summer 2014, for whom he had already played in his youth.
National team
Fortounis went through several Greek youth national teams and was used in both the U-19 and the U-21 . In 2011 he played the U-19 European Football Championship in Romania . In the second group game, he scored the winning goal to make it 1-0 against the host Romania team. Fortounis was appointed to the senior national team for the first time for the friendly against Belgium on February 29, 2012. In the 1-1 draw he was substituted on for Dimitrios Salpingidis at halftime .
Fortounis played in the opening game against Poland ( 1: 1 ) and the second preliminary round meeting of Greece against the Czech Republic ( 1: 2 ) at the Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine .
