Kubach is a district of Weilburg in the Limburg-Weilburg district in Central Hesse .
geography
The place Kubach is located in the Taunus south of Weilburg, 215 m above sea level. The highest point is the 347 m high birch head.
history
In the district of Kubach there was a settlement 2500 years ago, as excavations from 1981 confirm.
For the first time the Kubach was on December 27, 1000 in a certificate from Otto III. mentioned as “usque ad rivolum cubach”.
A parish church in Cubach is mentioned for the first time in 1516 .
The Am Köppel construction and industrial area between Weilburg and Kubach made the district a focus of development for the city of Weilburg from the beginning of the new millennium. The lively construction activity in this area allows the core city of Weilburg and Kubach to grow closer and closer together.
Place name
The name developed from rivolum cubach , the naming of a stream of this name as a boundary, via "Cuobach", Cubach to today's Kubach. It probably comes from the two streams that flow through Kubach.
Territorial reform
In the course of the regional reform in Hesse , the municipality of Kubach became the last town to be a district of Weilburg on July 1, 1974 by virtue of state law.

Culture and sights
Buildings
In 1516 the first own church was built. The current church was completed in 1784.
Natural monuments
Kubach crystal cave
The Kubacher crystal cave is the only crystal cave in Germany. It is visited by visitors from all over the world. Since August 31, 1979 the Kubacher Kristallhöhle has been included in the list of natural monuments in the Limburg-Weilburg district.
Bismarck oak
The Bismarck oak on the K 423 in the direction of Hirschhausen has been on the list of natural monuments in the Limburg-Weilburg district since July 22, 1938. The age is estimated to be around 200 years.

Infrastructure
- In Kubach there is a town house in the main street, a sports field, the grill hut on the Birkenkopf, children's playgrounds and hiking trails as well as the municipal daycare center Kubelix Kubach.
- In Kubach, the Kubach volunteer fire brigade , founded in 1934 (with a youth fire brigade since June 12, 1980) provides fire protection and general help.
