Kurt Alexander Eugen Seraphim von Olszewski (born August 18, 1860 in Königsberg , † December 15, 1937 in Stettin ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

Kurt was the son of the later Prussian Lieutenant General Adolf von Olszewski (1828–1907) and his first wife Elisabeth Florentine, née Papendieck (1834–1891). His two uncles were also in Prussian service. Heinrich von Olszewski (1823–1918) as Lieutenant General and Eugen von Olszewski (1826–1908) as Major General.

Military career

Olszewski attended secondary school in Lötzen and then the cadet houses in Kulm and Berlin . He was then transferred to the 4th Baden Infantry Regiment "Prinz Wilhelm" No. 112 of the Prussian Army on April 12, 1879 as a characterized Portepeefähnrich .
