Líšný (German Lischnei ) is a municipality in the Liberec region ( Czech Republic ). The village lies on the bank of the Jizera (Jizera) on the northern edge of the Český ráj . About 250 people live in the village.

history

The village was first mentioned in 1382 as Lesczne . The first houses were probably built on the right bank of the river. From the 15th century onwards, buildings were also built on the other side of the bank. The area was ruled by the Maloskal family from the middle of the 16th century. In 1777 the chapel of St.  John of Nepomuk was consecrated.

The municipality Líšný includes the districts Libentiny (Libetin) , Líšný 1. díl (Lischnei 1st part , formerly Lischnei-Sniehower part) and Líšný 2. díl (Lischnei 2nd part) . Basic settlement units are Líšný 1. díl and Líšný 2. díl.
