Lana Del Ray aka Lizzy Grant is the debut album by the American pop singer Lana Del Rey .

Creation and artwork

All songs were composed by Lana Del Rey , partly in cooperation with David Kahne. All tracks were produced by David Kahne. This was chosen by Del Rey on purpose because he was a musician with great integrity who not only makes simple pop music. The album was released under the music label 5 Points Records. The marketing work was done by Del Rey's father, Robert Grant. On the cover of the album - next to the artist name and album title - you can see Del Rey's upper body in front of a beige wall. The cover picture and the pictures from the booklet were shot in 2008 by the photographer and sister Del Reys, Caroline “Chuck” Grant.

Publication and promotion

The album was first released on January 4, 2010, as a digital release in the United States. The album consists of ten new studio recordings and three previously released studio recordings. The album was available in the US iTunes Store, but was withdrawn from the market after a short time. In an interview with BBC News on January 27, 2012, Del Rey reported that the album had to be taken off the market because the independent label was unable to fund its release. At the same time, she revealed that she had bought back the rights to her album and could release the album again in late 2012. Instead of re-releasing this album, Del Rey released a new EP called Paradise instead . To date, the album has not been released again. Also to date no single has been officially released from the album.

Track list

All lyrics are written entirely in English. Musically, the songs move in the field of pop , indie pop , trip hop and sadcore .
