The lyrics to Blue Jeans are written in English, translated into German the title is "Blue Jeans". The music and lyrics were co-written by Lana Del Rey, Emile Haynie and Dan Heath. Musically, the song moves in the area of pop music .

"I Will Love You Till the End of Time.
I would wait a million years.
Promise You'll Remember That You're Mine.
Baby Can You See Through the Tears?
Love You More Than Those Bitches Before.
Say You'll Remember, Oh Baby, Say You'll Remember, Baby.
I Will Love You Till the End of Time. "

- Refrain, original

“I will love you until the end of time.
I would wait a million years
Promise that you will never forget that you are mine.
Darling can't you see through the tears
Love you more than any bitch before me
Say you'll never forget, darling, say it.
I will love you until the end of time. "

- Refrain, translation

In his review of Blue Jeans , Damien Ryan from sosogay.co.uk said the following about the song:

“B-side, 'Blue Jeans' is equally transfixing. She coos, 'I grew up on hip-hop', and it shows. The track could sit comfortably on any urban release from Nineties-era Aaliyah to 2011's The Weekend. The Minimalist beat almost recalls early Timbaland, but with plenty of Del Rey's Retro leanings. Lines that could be lifted straight out of a rap hit ('you're so fresh to death and sick as cancer', 'love you more than those bitches before') flow seamlessly into the chorus's tragic promise, 'I will love you till the end of time, I would wait a million years. ' B-Sides should never sound this good. "

Music video

Like video games , it consists of collected film clips from old film classics and webcam recordings made by yourself . The opening scene shows an excerpt from The Last Waltz , in which Lawrence Ferlinghetti recites the Our Father . This is followed by footage by Australian photographer Nirrimi Joy Firebrace's and his tender hearted project. The rest of the video shows black and white footage of Del Rey singing the song in front of a wall. In between, cartoon, home video and paparazzi recordings can be seen again and again . The second music video was filmed in early March - in black and white and partly in slow motion - and celebrated its premiere on March 19, 2012, also on Del Rey's YouTube account. As in the previously released music video for Born to Die , Del Rey is again supported by model and actor Bradley Soileau, who again plays Del Rey's lover . Taken in and next to a pool in a 1950s Hollywood home, Del Rey and Soileau are seen reuniting in a tragic love story. At the beginning of the video, Del Rey is shadowing Soileau, who is undressing on the side of the pool and stepping into the pool. Del Rey follows him and they meet in the middle of the pool. You perform a long, deep French kiss . In the end, he grabs Del Rey by the neck, lets her slide over the surface of the water before pulling her under the water. The video has been compared to Nick Cave's murder ballads and Chris Isaak's discography . The total length of the video is 4:20 minutes. As before with Born to Die , Woodkid directed . To date, the video has over 92 million clicks on YouTube (as of June 2014).
