Ornamental sandstone gable in the Weser Renaissance style with extensive mainly Latin inscriptions of spiritual content, the addition of the highlighted letters using Roman numerals results in the year of construction 1680. In the 20th century owned by Battig (market drugstore), after being destroyed in the war, including the neighboring houses at Markt 4 , 5 and 6 according to plans by Paul Griesser , Bielefeld, rebuilt in traditional styles and materials as a bank lamp, the ground floor of Markt 3 approximated to its original state by removing the classicist shop front (around 1860). Symmetrical front facade, the stairwells and the ground floor zone of the middle house enlivened by brick masonry, high hipped roof divided by small attic houses with pointed arch windows in a frieze-like sequence. The back is precisely aligned with the longitudinal axis of the Königsbrügge sports field in terms of urban planning. The originally small, symmetrical wooden lattice windows have not been preserved. |
