List of FFH areas in Saxony

The list of FFH areas in Saxony contains 270 (as of January 2017) areas of Community importance (GGB), or FFH areas for short, established by the Free State of Saxony in accordance with Directive 92/43 / EEC (Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive) .

The Free State of Saxony has registered 270 areas with a total area of ​​168,665 ha to the European Union . This corresponds to 9.16% of the country's area. Sometimes they overlap with existing nature and landscape protection areas .

The first four digits of the number correspond to the page identification of the official topographic map of Germany on a scale of 1: 25,000 ( TK25 ) and thus roughly code the location of the respective area. The area names correspond to the official names.
