List of bird sanctuaries in Saxony

The list of bird protection areas in Saxony contains all special protection areas (BSG), or bird protection areas for short, established by the Free State of Saxony in accordance with Directive 79/409 / EEC on the conservation of wild bird species and in accordance with Section 10 (6) of the Federal Nature Conservation Act .

The Free State of Saxony has registered 77 areas with a total area of ​​248,961 ha to the European Union . This corresponds to 13.5% of the country's area.

The reporting status from October 2006 is reproduced (notification on November 6, 2006), with the exception of SPA No. 83. There, the area has been reduced by 4 hectares due to a limit adjustment based on presentation technology. The list was updated in February 2019.

The first four digits of the EU registration no. correspond to the sheet identification of the official topographical map of Germany on a scale of 1: 25,000 ( TK25 ) and thus roughly encode the location of the respective area. The area names and registration numbers correspond to the official designations.
