Markings of Munich

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The districts of Munich are sub-areas of the Bavarian capital Munich . The subdivision of the urban area into districts was carried out for surveying purposes and serves as the basis for keeping the land register .

division

The district of Munich, which covers the urban area of Munich between 1877 and 1890, is divided into nine parts numbered from 1 to 9. In addition to the area of the historic old town and the surrounding keep , into which the city expanded in the first half of the 19th century (districts 1–3), this also includes the formerly independent communities Au (district 5), Haidhausen (district . 5), Giesing (Bez. 17-18), Ramersdorf (Bez. 16) and Sendling (Bez. 6–8), which were incorporated into Munich from 1854 to 1877 . The communities that were incorporated after 1890 usually kept their names as district names. Even if the boundaries were rounded off and other changes were made, the boundaries of the districts still correspond more to those of the historical municipalities than to those of the current city districts.

Remarks

  1. S. = section
  2. Gaps in the numbering of the districts result from the fact that the districts of the city and district of Munich are numbered together alphabetically (with the exception of the districts in the communities of Baierbrunn , Schäftlarn , Straßlach-Dingharting and Sauerlach , which share the number block 9301 to 9308 ), z. B. Aschheim with the number 8661 between Allach (8660) and Aubing (8662).
  3. Data from the area survey as of December 31, 2010
