Two lime kilns from the former lime works Mühlstrasse 12; 13
(card)
1787 earliest mention Unique evidence of lime production of great importance in industrial history.

Two lime kilns, visible from afar as a landmark in the Ore Mountains landscape, about 150-year-old relics of a lime industry mentioned here as early as 1787, which the nearby pond also indicates as a former mining area. Combustion chambers encased in quarry stone with arch-like, brick-edged charging openings rise on an octagonal and square floor plan. Above that, each conical smoke outlet is placed on a round floor plan. The two ovens are not only of great industrial and regional history, but also have an impact on the landscape. Since there are only a few comparable objects in Saxony that have preserved such a state of preservation, they are also a rarity.

Octagonal or square floor plan, furnace hoods above it in a conical shape made of bricks with attached round smoke outlet, large archway-like loading openings, temporarily reopened in 1947, unique evidence of lime production, the mining area (pond) of the lime works still preserved in their vicinity.
