The two-storey building with a gate passage and a keystone was rebuilt after a city fire in 1731. Typical furnishings include the historic gate with curbstones, the profiled window frames on the ground floor with largely original windows in terms of size and position, the profiled eaves cornice with a gable roof , and inside a stone staircase to the top floor. A stucco ceiling and a groin vault in the main room are worth mentioning. Several times the house was converted into a restaurant by changing owners. The Bonitz family has been the owner since 1938 and, after extensive renovations, reopened a locality ( Bierquelle ) in the former guest room in 1993, while the former living quarters on the first floor have been converted into a guesthouse with three rooms. |
