In the list of cultural monuments in Rosenbach / Vogtl. are the cultural monuments of the community Rosenbach / Vogtl. recorded by the State Office for the Preservation of Monuments until February 2020 (excluding archaeological cultural monuments). The notes are to be observed.

The Steinpöhl is a flat, wooded hilltop on the extreme western edge of the Syrau district towards the municipality of Mehltheuer. There the station 154 Syrau was built in the forest section das Roh, east of the Fasendorf-Syrau corridor border. Like the other masonry stations, the original pillar has not been preserved. The masonry was not weatherproof in the long run. It was therefore replaced on the old substructure by a pillar made of the local sandstone with a height of 1.65 m with an unknown date. This has a stepped rectangular cross-section with an edge length at the head of 50 cm × 43 cm. The upper end is tapered to a square cross-section with an edge length of 43 cm, presumably to use the old cover plate, which is no longer there. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Vogtland experienced a rapid industrial boom, as a result of which the population in the cities rose sharply. Syrau was also affected by this development, whereupon the extensive water supply of the city had to be fundamentally reconsidered and in 1907 the construction of a water tower above the central, 125 meter deep well began. The owner of the octagonal tower with the adjacent machine house was the brickworks and quarry owner Oskar Walther.

The shaft of the 23 meter high tower is made of natural stone, accentuated by a brick cornice above the base zone and tapers towards the top. Arched, brick-framed window openings and oculi below the container level illuminate the interior of the tower. The container floor, which is also octagonal, protrudes over numerous consoles, is equipped with four large lattice windows and is closed off by a flat sloping roof with a large ventilation hood. Originally half-timbered, the area of ​​the water tank is now plastered. The 50 m³ cylindrical steel water tank with a flat bottom served to supply the city with drinking water until 1996, since then it has been used as a service water dispenser. As a testimony to the development of the communal water supply at the beginning of the 20th century, the tower is of importance in terms of local and supply history. At the same time, the ensemble of water tower and ancillary building defines the townscape.
