The following list of countries according to education expenditure sorts countries and territories in the first part according to the proportion of economic output that they invest in the education of their population. In the second part different countries are listed according to the educational expenditure per student . Education expenses include all expenses or subsidies that flow into schools and universities in a country. Education expenditure can also come from abroad in the form of development aid.
