The pilgrimage church Maria Taferl, visible from afar on a terrace above the Danube valley, is an early Baroque building with a cross-shaped floor plan oriented to the north. Construction began in 1660 and was completed in 1711.

The Kuratenhaus on the west side of the church is an elongated, two-story Baroque building from 1708, which was extended in 1716. Its 15-axis front has two portal porches with round gables and arched portals.

The approximately three hectare large monastery garden, which was mentioned as an orchard and kitchen garden as early as 1681, is laid out in four terraces and offers a sweeping view of the surroundings. Its central axis leads (in descending order) from the garden pavilion via a staircase to the fountain and the Marian column.

The broad pillar on the way to the pilgrimage church dates from the 18th / early 19th century, with a Pietà from the 19th century.

The wayside shrine at the eastern edge of the village was built around 1770. In the gable field, set off by a cornice, there is a niche with a ray cross and painting Eye of God . Restored in 1996.

On the Bussweg. With a relief by Heribert Rath from 1962. The Way of the Cross begins in Marbach an der Donau and continues in Maria Taferl.

The so-called Taferlstein, which is also mentioned in the name of the place, is on the east side of the church forecourt. The pre-Christian sacrificial stone is surrounded by a round stone balustrade, marked 1736. The sacrificial stone stood in front of the altar of grace inside the church until 1744, then in front of the main entrance of the church and since 1959 when the church forecourt on its east side was redesigned.

Chapel for the fallen of both world wars with crucifixion group, standing below the church forecourt. Inside there are also bas-reliefs on the sides of historical military campaigns by Heribert Rath from 1962.
