The on St. James the Elder consecrated church on the east side of the castle is connected to the underlying market by a staircase. The formerly free-standing Gothic building from the 14th century was expanded into a baroque hall building in 1691–1698 and extended to the castle in the west. In 1868/1869 and 1913 there were redesigns in the style of historicism.

The local chapel of Nussendorf is a rectangular building from 1866, with a three-eighth closure, gable roof, roof turrets and ogival window and door openings. In the two-bay interior there is a barrel vault with stitch caps on flat wall templates. The apse is set off by a flat belt arch. On the altar there is a portrait of Mary with child and baroque crown, which was probably made in the 16th century.

Pöbring Castle was first mentioned in a document in the 12th century. It was the ancestral seat of the Knights of Biberars. Already in 1487 it was deserted and in exchange for the Rosenburg it came from the Grabnern to the Roggendorfer . Remnants of the extensive complex are possibly preserved in the north wall of the parish church .

The parish church of St. Bartholomew is a late Gothic building made of unplastered quarry stone masonry on a rock terrace west of the Schwarzaubach valley. The church was built around 1500. It has a low west tower that slightly towers over the steep ridge of the nave.
