List of places in Turkey inhabited by Ossetians
The list of places inhabited by Ossetians in Turkey lists all 28 villages and small towns in the Republic of Turkey in which Ossetians live in significant numbers. The Ossetians came to the Ottoman Empire as refugees after the Caucasus War 1817–1864 and the Russo-Turkish War 1877–1878 . The Ossetians were settled in various places in the Ottoman Empire. Part of the Ossetians founded localities that are now part of the Republic of Turkey. The descendants of these Ossetian refugees still live in these places today. In addition, this list offers a selection of the names of the localities common under Ossetians. The Ossetians in major Turkish cities are not included in this list.
