Lohr is a part of the municipality of Insingen in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .
geography
The church village is located on the Lohrbach , a left tributary of the Tauber . In the southeast rises the wooded hill Reinhardsberg ( 438 m above sea level ), approx. 1 km northeast of the Haarbuck.
The state road 2419 leading to Rothenburg ob der Tauber (4,5 km north) or after Insingen (3 km south). A community road leads to Bockenfeld to the district road AN 33 (2 km east) or to the St 1040 (1.6 km west).
history
In 1381 the village with the castle ( Lohr Castle ) was destroyed. Under the leadership of the French general Ezéchiel de Mélac , French murder torches are said to have set fire to 28 houses in November 1688 and caused 7909 guilders in damage.
In 1801 there were 24 households, 16 of which were subject to the imperial city of Rothenburg , 7 to Brandenburg-Ansbach and 1 to the Ansbach owner Seefried.
With the municipality edict was tax district Lohr made to the places with bed box , Postal , Mr. winds , Holler mill , Lohrbach , Mittelmühle and Obermuhle belonged. A little later the rural community Lohr was formed, to which the Leuzhof belonged. It was subordinate to the regional court of Rothenburg in administration and jurisdiction . The municipality had an area of 7.329 km². With the regional reform Lohr was incorporated into Insingen on May 1, 1978.

- Rothenburger Straße 14 - teacher's house, former school, two-story, plastered hipped roof building, mid-19th century
