Loibersdorf is a place and a cadastral municipality of Gars am Kamp in the Horn district in Lower Austria .

geography

The place is located on the south-eastern edge of the Horner Basin, east of Gars am Kamp . The altitude in the town center is 320 meters. The area of ​​the cadastral community covers 1.54 km². The population amounts to 20 inhabitants (status: 2001).

history

The place was first mentioned in 1125 when Ulrich von Stiefern donated his Liobesdorf estate to Klosterneuburg Abbey . Until 1683 the village was owned by the lords of Pollheim and then came under the rule of Buchberg . There was a castle in Loibersdorf, of which only the remains of an agricultural property have survived.

Loibersdorf is close to Horner Straße (B4). The PostBus bus company travels to the Mörtersdorf Gh Purker stop approx. 1.4 km from the town on lines 635 ( Horn - Korneuburg ), 1026 ( Raabs an der Thaya - Vienna-Praterstern ) and 1036 ( Zwettl - Vienna-Praterstern ). The closest ÖBB train stations are Rosenburg and Gars-Thunau on the Kamptalbahn .
Since 1995, the Garser Bus , an initiative of the business association "Gars Innovativ", has been going to Loibersdorf, all other districts and other places in the area on Tuesdays and Fridays, to help people who do not own a car and have no connection to public transport, shopping and errands in Gars am Kamp.
