Lorenzo Ebecilio (born September 24, 1991 in Hoorn , Netherlands ) is a Dutch football player of Surinamese descent who has been under contract with Red Star Belgrade since the summer of 2018 .
Career
society
Ebecilio started playing organized football as a child at VV de Blokkers from his hometown of Hoorn. He came to AZ Alkmaar through the youth department of HVV Hollandia . During this time he suffered a heart attack in 2005, as a result of which a defibrillator was used. He recovered, returned to Hollandia and joined AFC Ajax in Amsterdam in 2006. In the B-youth of Amsterdam, he developed into a regular player and was with the team Dutch champions of the age group. The salary was a three-year contract with Ajax.
Under senior youth coach Frank de Boer , Ebecilio was able to prove his qualities as a striker . After two years in the A-youth he joined the youth team Jong Ajax . De Boer took over as coach of Ajax's first team in December 2010. He brought Ebecilio into the Eredivisie squad, left the left-footed player in the starting line-up in the away game at Vitesse Arnheim on December 12, 2010 and played 71 minutes as a left winger alongside Siem de Jong . In the second half of the 2010/11 season he was part of the de Boers regular formation and was also used four times in the Europa League . He scored his first league goal on March 6, 2011 to 3-0 in a 4-0 win against his youth club AZ; against Excelsior Rotterdam he scored twice in a 4-1 on April 24, 2011. In April 2011 Ebecilio extended his contract with Ajax until 2014. With Ebecilio as a regular player, AFC Ajax won the championship. He was also involved in the successful defense of the title with more than 20 missions, but he could not hold his regular position: Frank de Boer preferred the more experienced Derk Boerrierter , who had returned from RKC Waalwijk , on the left wing position. In the 2012/13 season Ebecilio was only used in the second team Jong Ajax . During the winter break, Ajax and Ebicilio negotiated a transfer to Metalurg Donetsk .
