Lothar Klemm

Lothar Klemm (born September 9, 1949 in Hochstadt ) is a Hessian politician ( SPD ), former Minister of State. D. and was a member of the Hessian state parliament until 2008 .

education and profession

After graduating from the High School in Hanau in 1968, he studied law at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main , and worked as a lawyer (since 1978) and notary (since 1985).

politics

Klemm has been a member of the SPD since 1968 and has been a member of the state executive committee of the SPD Hessen since 1988, state manager from 1988 to 1991 and deputy state chairman from 1991 to 1995.

He had been a member of the district council of the Main-Kinzig-Kreis since 1974 , from 1981 to 1985 deputy district council chairman and from 1985 to 1993 district council chairman.

From January 1994 to April 1995 he was Hessian Minister for Economy, Transport, Technology and European Affairs , from April 1995 to April 1999 Hessian Minister for Economy, Transport and Regional Development.

Klemm was a member of the Hessian state parliament from December 1, 1982 to April 5, 1995 and from April 5, 1999 to 2008. He was elected in the state elections in 1983 , 1991 and 1999 in the constituency Main-Kinzig I and otherwise via the SPD state list. From April 5, 1991 to 1994 he was parliamentary group chairman of the SPD parliamentary group, from April 22, 1999 to April 4, 2003 he was deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group. He was Chairman of the Budget Committee from April 5, 1999 to April 4, 2002 and a member of the Committee on Economic and Transport Affairs and the European Committee.

Klemm was a member of the 9th Federal Assembly in 1989 and a member of the 11th Federal Assembly in 1999 .

Klemm is a member of the supervisory board of Fraport AG and Dietz AG (real estate company) from Bensheim.

Family life

Lothar Klemm was in a relationship with Sibylle Nicolai for nine years . After the separation in 2003, Nicolai carried out various actions against Lothar Klemm and reported about it three years later in a book publication.
