action
The musician Rocky spends a night with Angie in a hotel. After telling him she was pregnant, she asked him to recommend a doctor for her. Rocky seeks out his friend Barbie, a stripper, who throws him out of the apartment.
Angie's brothers Dominick and Julio and their mother are unaware of their pregnancy. They want to marry Angie to the shy restaurant owner Colombo, who like Angie is of Italian descent. It has now become clear to Rocky that Angie needs a doctor to be able to perform an abortion. He tries to find the money he needs. He takes Angie to his unsuspecting parents, who immediately take Angie to their hearts.
Right before the scheduled abortion, Rocky doesn't want Angie to undergo this procedure. Angie loves Rocky, but she realizes that Rocky is afraid of getting married. She decides to accept Colombo's marriage proposal, especially since he has assured her that he will pretend in public that Angie is expecting his child. A possible reunion with Rocky ends in an argument. Angie later sees him with a sign that says " Better Wed Than Dead ".
