The Mülmisch is a 13.8 km long, northeast and orographically right tributary of the Fulda in the Werra-Meißner district , district of Kassel and Schwalm-Eder district , Hesse ( Germany ).

course

The Mülmisch rises in the west of the Werra-Meißner district in the north-western part of the Melsunger Bergland and in the geo-nature park Frau-Holle-Land (Werra valley.Meißner.Kaufunger forest) . Its source is 1.25 km southeast of the village of Quentel , a western district of Hessisch Lichtenau , on the northwest flank of the Breiteberg ( 513.2  m above sea  level ), the western foothill of the Breitenberg ( 533.2  m ), at around 435  m Height. The Günsterbergstrasse forest path leads past to the west .

Initially, the Mülmisch, which runs mainly south-west, flows roughly in a north-west direction to Quentel; henceforth it forms the border of the southeastern Melsunger mountain country to the northwestern Söhre . After flowing through the village, it runs along state road  3228 through the southeastern part of the Kassel district and there through the village of Eiterhagen , the southernmost district of Söhrewald , where the Wattenbach flows as the longest Mülmisch tributary. To the southwest of the village is the Green Lake in the forest above the brook . The stream then leaves the Frau-Holle-Land Geo-Nature Park.

Subsequently, the Mülmisch reaches the north of the Schwalm-Eder district in Empfershausen , a part of the municipality of Körle that consists of Ober- and Unter-Empfershausen . A little below Empfershausen it crosses the high-speed line Hanover – Würzburg , which leads over the 870 m long and 74 m high Mülmisch valley bridge over the river valley, and shortly afterwards the federal road 83 and the Bebra – Baunatal-Guntershausen railway line .

Finally , the Mülmisch flows northwest of the village of Röhrenfurth , a northern district of Melsungen , and southeast of the core town of Körle at around 160  m above sea level into the western Weser source river Fulda coming from there from the south , into which the dry Mülmisch in Körle as the northwestern Mülmisch- Neighboring stream flows in.
