The tables show the line-up of the teams at the 1974 Women's Chess Olympiad in Medellín . The 25 participating national teams initially played in five preliminary round groups. Two teams in each of these groups qualified for the final tournaments A and B. The group fifth made it to the C final. There, a B-team from the host country joined in to produce an even number of participants, which played out of competition and was not assigned a placement. In the tables, the final position is given for each team, next to it is the final tournament reached. The team balances are listed separately for the preliminary and final round, whereas the individual balances of the players are shown in the sum of both tournament phases. Each team consisted of two players and a maximum of one substitute player. For the placement of the teams, the board points in front of the team points, the direct comparison and the Sonneborn-Berger rating were decisive. In the preliminary round group 3 between England and Israel for second place, if all criteria were equal, the Sonneborn-Berger score of the board points was finally used. For the decision on first place, a double-round playoff was provided instead of the last detailed evaluation.
For the two preliminary round matches against Czechoslovakia and Germany, which were lost 2-0, the list by name is not known. The four losing parties are not included in the individual balance sheets.
